About
EverybodyLovesMusic

Music has the power to educate, heal, inspire, and bring people together. Yet too often, the people and organizations working to make that happen operate independently, limiting their reach and missing opportunities to create an even greater impact.

EverybodyLovesMusic (ELM) exists to change that.

By connecting musicians, educators, nonprofits, healthcare providers, community organizations, and supporters, ELM helps build a stronger, more collaborative network where ideas, resources, and opportunities can be shared for the benefit of everyone. Rather than replacing existing organizations, ELM works alongside them, helping amplify their efforts and encouraging partnerships that expand access to meaningful musical experiences.

Whether it's introducing young people to music education, supporting wellness initiatives for seniors, promoting community performances, or helping local organizations reach new audiences, ELM believes that collaboration creates opportunities that no single group could achieve alone.

If you believe music can strengthen communities, improve lives, and create lasting connections, there is a place for you here. You can support the mission by donating, partnering with ELM, participating in programs, or simply helping spread the word.

Together, we can make music more accessible, foster stronger community partnerships, and ensure that its educational and healing benefits reach more people across every generation.

Why Greg Chako Founded EverybodyLovesMusic

Greg Chako is an international jazz guitarist, educator, arts entrepreneur, and community leader whose career has spanned more than fifty years across the United States and Asia.

As a performer, Greg has appeared in concert halls, festivals, clubs, hotels, and corporate events throughout the world while also directing entertainment programs for leading international hospitality brands. His work has included performance, artist management, music programming, education, and the development of live music experiences designed to bring people together.

Throughout his career, Greg became increasingly interested not only in performing music, but in its ability to educate, heal, inspire, and strengthen communities. Graduate studies in ethnomusicology, years of teaching, work in senior care environments, and decades of observing music's impact on audiences led him to a simple realization: music is far more than entertainment — it is a powerful force for human connection.

That belief ultimately inspired the creation of EverybodyLovesMusic (ELM), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to music through education, wellness initiatives, community programming, and collaboration among existing organizations.

Greg envisions ELM as more than another music nonprofit. His goal is to build a collaborative community infrastructure that connects musicians, educators, nonprofits, healthcare providers, venues, and civic organizations while creating opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the educational, emotional, and healing power of music.

In 2025, Greg was inducted into the Cincinnati Jazz Hall of Fame in recognition of his contributions to the region's jazz community.

He currently resides in Cincinnati, where he continues to perform professionally while leading the growth and development of EverybodyLovesMusic.
